Addressing Invitations - No Inner Envelope

Our wedding invitations consist of the actual invite, a response postcard and a sleeve envelope.  They are really cute!  My question is, if I am inviting a friend, do I address the actual outer envelope to Ms. Jane Doe and Guest, since there is no inner envelope?  I am worried that if I just address the invite to Ms. Jane Doe that it implies she can't bring a guest?!?

Suggestions?

That's the way I did mine since I didn't have any inner envelopes. I addressed the outer envelope to Ms. Jane Doe and Guest. I went back and forth on whether or not I should have the inner envelope. In the end I was glad I didn't have one and it led me to only use one 45 cent stamp for each envelope. Good luck!

Yes, OP - that's how you address them.  With no inner envelop, you have to address the outter envelop to all invitees.

For example, for a couple with kids...i invited:
    Mr. and Mrs. Bob Smith
    Jane, Tommy, and Sally
    address
    city, state, zip
