Music

Show me the music list you're giving the DJ, including special songs.  Feel free to include ceremony music too!  I'm working on mine and trying to get some more ideas.

haha! I need inspiration too!!  So far the only thing we have picked out is "our" song which I'd actually like to change!  But he sings it to me and always says I'm amazing so it fits :)  Our song is Amazed by Lonestar.
Other songs we're throwing around is What a wonderful world for the mother son dance.  It is his late fathers favorite song so we thought itd be a nice way to include him.

Other than that we're still deciding! Please post ideas!! :D

We didn't have many specific songs we asked the DJ to play but we told him the feeling that we'd like during different times of the wedding.

Ceremony: we went with the traditional songs

Cocktail hour: we told him a Jack Johnson/ Ben Harper feel

DH and I were introduced to PM Dawn's Set a Drift (that was a good surprise because it's one of our favorites but I didn't tell him to play that one)

Dinner: we wanted jazz and we gave him a CD we made of Miles Davis, Chris Botti and some others

Dancing: I told him to play whatever he felt like but ABSOLUTELY NO GROUP DANCING!  The only two songs he had to play was Crystal Blue Persuasion (for DH parents because that's their song) and Frank Sinatra's New York, New York (for my NY family)

Oh and our first dance was At Last as a little joke since DH and I were together for over 11 years before we married!

    We are working on it....

We are going traditional for the ceremony and are still working out the entrance song.

I'm dancing to My Girl with my dad and his mom is still figuring out their song together.  We are narrowing down our first song.  I'm doing all the Single Ladies for the boquet toss.

For cocktail hour and dinner I want a mix of Sinatra/Buble/Jack Johnson/James Taylor/Coldplay type with some slow country for his side.

I'm think I'm going to have I Gotta Feeling by the Black Eye Peas to start off the dancing right after dinner.  We are going to have a mix of oldies, 80s, 90s, today and country.  I want to see about playing my parents song and his parents song at some point.  We like dancing and stuff but I'm not wanting anything to out there played since its a wedding not a club hehe!

I'm going to have the Eletric Slide and Cupid Shuffle but no Macarena.  My friends and I started this thing a couple years ago with I wear my sunglasses at night and we dance with sunglasses. We got some great pictures at my friends' weddings.

We are still thinking of a last song.  We have a song high on our list but the name escapes me right now.
