What to expect, sample sale

Hi all,

Has anyone ever been to a sample sale?  What should I expect?  Should I wear protective gear or are they more civilized than that?  :)

PS - It's a Mariee's this weekend if anyone is interested.

    I have been to a few. Mariee is a really small shop, so I would just be aware of that when you plan to go. I would prepare yourself for having to change in front of people.... but on the overall, the ones I have been to have been civilized. I'm going to try to go to one the 21st at Demetrios for veils ;-)

    Thanks SB.  I haven't even started looking for dresses yet (yes, I'm extremely behind!) and I know I'll have to buy "off the rack" so I thought a sample sale might be my best bet.
