Favor ideas?

I'm on a tight budget and trying to figure out what would be a cute favor, but cost efficient too. What are you ladies doing for favors?

We are having a photo booth so as of right now I am thinking about using the photo strips as my favor.  We are also thinking about doing candy apples.

Most of what I have read says to stick to edible favors because most people don't want a candle shaped like a champagne glass or a coasters with your wedding date.

I have seen people just do a single chocolate or a little bag of candy at each spot.  I would think that would be fairly cost effective.  And, you cant go wrong with food in most crowds!

I agree that they should be edible or at least something useful that isn't overly personalized.  I'm looking into cute little boxes of candy in our wedding colors.  I'd love to have M&M's but they're really expensive!

Edible is always a safe bet :) You could package almost any type of candy, cookie etc to look adorable and fit with the theme. We are going this route.

Another inexpensive favor I've were $1 scratchers with the saying "we are lucky in love & hope you are too" it was pretty cute.

We are doing a candy bar. There is an awesome candy shop in Chandler (Chandler & Alma School) we are getting the candy from.

Schocked - the lottery ticket gift is such a good idea!!!

Photobooth. Fantastic :) That's what we're doing and the program was $59.00. Paper is $15, printer $25.

The only minor issue with the lotto ticket is, if an out of town guest is a winner, and it's for an AZ lotto, then the guest better have someone with an AZ drivers license to pick up the winnings...

My mom made Caribbean Rum Cake with decadant icing, and we put them into favor boxes in lieu of a tiered cake.  Also we had unscented candles - which could be used for just about anything...

Thanks ladies! Really helpful! I'm going to go for the candy buffet. Found some apothecary jars for cheap on Sears.com. Thanks for the heads up on that candy shop!

We are doing personalized pint glasses.  We just ordered them this week, so I haven't seen them yet, but it was about $155 for 85 glasses.  I hope they turn out well.  We got them from discountmugs.com

We are doing pralines from New Orleans.  We love the french qtr and decided this would bring a taste of something we love that maybe some of our guest haven't experienced.  Plus I hear most people love to get some sort of food as a favor.  I am also putting out pashminas for the ladies (we are an april wedding and our coctail hour is outdoors might get cold so this would be useful) and cigars by the out door bar for the gentleman or ladies to enjoy. I don't think you have to do a favor but candy would be a more inexpensive way to go. mints or almonds in tulle are always a hit at weddings ive been to.  Homemade cookies are a good option too.
