Outdoor Venue for March 2013 - Regency Garden?

I am in need of some suggestions for an outdoor venue for Spring...

We toured a few places so far....(trying to stay away from golf resorts)
-The Secret Garden
-Venue at the Grove
-The Wright house
-Farm at South Mountain
-Wrigley Mansion
-The Regency Garden

I personally love the idea of a wedding ceremony under a gazebo! The garden room at the wright house is very beautiful but we think the venue might be too big for our guest list. We are having 40 to 50 guests.

The Regency Garden is our top choice right now.  There are a lot of good reviews on wedding wire about the place.  Their all inclusive package is about $10k for up to 50 guests.   There are a lot of budget brides out there.....so for me to spend 10k on ceremony/reception seems like I may be over paying?

My budget is $15k for the entire wedding; up to 50 guests. Outdoor spring wedding.  Any suggestions on venue and budget are welcome!  :)  Thanks ladies!

  • I know you said your trying to stay away from golf courses but we are getting married at Trilogy at power ranch for 100 people w food and open bar for 4 hrs we are paying 8000. I'm.sure it would be really inexpensive for 50 people.
  • Have you looked at Regale in North Scottsdale? We're having our wedding there... our package (includes photog, catering, cake, rentals, d.j.) around $12,000 for 120 people.

    Good luck!
  • I always hear really good things about Regency Garden...   and I think their prices are very fair, and a bit lower than most places.

I really liked it when we looked at it too, but we ended up with a golf course because it was a more natural setting, and we fell in love with the views there.

  • ajohnson 5676: the pricing is very attractive. Don't know where we've been looking but 10k is the cheapest we've found. as much as we don't want to be on golf courses....we may have to start looking at some. Thanks!

futuremrswright: wow I really am overpaying for 50 guests by the sounds of it. I went to an event once at regale. Its a really nice place. But too far for us and most of our guests. Btw, I am excited for you. Your big day is almost here!

syndelin: Something is not right about the Regency garden and I couldn't pinpoint it. You are right....its not as natural as I want my spring wedding to be.

  • We haven't looked at Villa Siena yet.  It looks very elegant on pictures.  The place seems to be for bigger parties though...I will contact them and get some information.  Are you having your wedding at Villa Siena, rowenac82?

  • beverlyluis, yes I am. There is a smaller room that they usually do the cocktail hour in, I have seen wedding receptions done in that room and of course it will be alot cheaper than the ballroom. You should definitely give it a look.

  • I looked at Regency Garden too, I like it, but I'm picking my own vendors. I found pinnacle vista villa, its new and located off the 17 and happy valley. It lights up so beautiful at night. my wedding is april of 2013..congrats!
