Anyone know a good Seamstress?

Hello all- I live in Northeast Ohio, but I'm getting married in Charleston, SC. I just moved to the area, so I don't have alot of contacts here. I ended up buying my dress at Wendy's Bridal in Columbus because as hard as I tried couldn't find the dress I loved here. But I'm not sure I want to make the trips to get my alterations done. Especially if I end up needing something last minute.

Does anyone know of a good/reasonable seamstress in the area. I live in Aurora, and work in Beachwood.

I really feel weird going to another bridal store since I didn't buy it here.You know? TIA.

Hopefully someone can chime in with a seamstress closer to you, but I used Denise at Julianne's Bridal Outlet in Olmsted Falls, west of you. She's very reasonably priced AND works on ANY dress, not just ones purchased there. (It's a consignment shop, so it's not even your standard 'bridal' store.) IMO, she'd be worth the drive for you, but I understand if you want someone closer. She did my wedding gown (purchased there) as well as 2 of my bridesmaids dresses (bought from David's) and also a bridesmaid dress (bought at Catan's)  for me when I was in a wedding after that. Highly recommend!

Thanks so much, I'll look into her, Olmsted Falls is still closer then Columbus, and I have a co-worker that lives there. Appreciate the help.

Try Hedi's.  It is in Fairview Park/Rocky River.  They do a great job there!!

I have heard great things about Juliannes as well... I just tried gowns on there yesterday and she was very nice! avoid Davids Bridal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The lady that does alterations at Expressions Bridal in Mentor does a great job, and that's close to Beachwood.  I believe her name is Jo.  She did a bridesmaids dress for me and she'll be doing my wedding gown as well.  I also felt her prices were fair.  If you call Expressions they can let you know what days she's there and set you up for an appointment.
