Havent started yet, but we are going to take ours through the city of Phoenix parks and rec. I know other cities around the valley also offer them. Ours were $70 for 9 lessons, not too bad.

I am not sure how it will post.  If the link wont post, just google city of Phoenix parks and rec.  It will come up.But, it is:http://phoenix.gov/parks. On the left hand side of the page, click on classes and programs.  Then, in the cent of the page, click "ballroom: adult".  It will give you a listing of all of the classes offered in Pheonix.  I havent taken my lessons yet (they start on the 18th of September, however, I have taken guitar and tennis through the parks and rec system and enjoyed those classes.

We just finished our intro lessons at Fred Astaire.  It was $40 for 4 lessons.  I can't afford to go back however since it's $650 for 10 lessons!  But we really learned a lot in the intro classes, and it's enough for us to feel like we have some skills for our first dance.  Also, I agree - go with any of the cities Parks & Rec departments, I have taken many other classes there and it's so cheap and just as good as a private place.  The Maricopa Community College District as well, most of the campuses offer dance lessons in a number of styles.
