Liquor

I'm in the process of finalizing my liquor purchase for our reception and need some input from you ladies.  We have about 175 guests and most are drinkers. So far I've got 3 handles (1/2 gallons) each of crown royal, vodka, and rum. We want to have wine and beer also but I'm not sure how much to get.  I'm thinking one case of red and one case of white wine and one keg of beer? I've been to receptions where the liquor has run out and don't want this to happen but I also don't want my guests getting too drunk either!

hi!were having about the same amount of ppl at our reception too, i think ours is right around 185. Were doing the same, a few handles of different alcohol, a few bottles of wine, and then beer. We decided on 2 kegs. but we decided on 2 because alot of our friends and his family just drink beer. good luck : )

I'm not sure where you're purchasing your liquor, but if you want to make sure you have enough just in case try Costco. You can return any unopened liquor after your wedding that way you're certain to have plenty while not throwing away your money by having tons of unopened bottles left over. Plus, their liquor is much cheaper than other retailers & they have a pretty extensive selection. :o)
