Engagement Photos - Locations

Hello - I need to schedule our session for our photos and my photographer gave me a list of locations, mostly parks, but they don't really have websites or pictures. Do you ladies have any locations to recommend? Thank you so much :)))

Where in the valley are you looking? The main problem is, even at parks, it's been such a hot, dry summer, and nearly all the grass, flowers, etc. are dead!  I had mine at the Scottsdale Civic Center, you know they have that pond and LOVE statue.  Or ASU's secret garden is pretty.  Tempe Town Lake.  You could try a resort, since they try very hard to keep up their landscaping year round, Camelback Inn or the Royal Palms come to mind.

I live in North Phoenix. I'm considering Scottsdale Civic Center, I really like that location. I can probably call around some resorts and ask them. My FI works for Marriott so he's uncomfortable going to the one he works at. Thanks for the suggestions :)

The problem that I had with resorts is that most of them want payment for using their site. Most fees were around $200/hour.

I think if you were sneaky about it, and at a large resort, you could probably get away with it.  But since he works at a Marriott, could he ask his manager if he could potentially shoot the photos at a different hotel?  That way he's getting permission but not having to pay!

I did my pictures at Sahuaro Ranch Park in Glendale.  Part of the park has 3 or 4 historic houses and they have a very small vinyard (really just 2 rows) but it looked great in pictures!  I originally wanted to do my pictures at a resort but we had trouble finding a place that would allow us to take pictures without having our wedding there.  I do know that the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park will let you take pictures without a fee as long as you call and talk to the PR director first.
