alterations

Does anyone know of reasonable, trustworthy places for alterations in the East Valley? I've heard it's a better idea than having the shop do it.

If you want to do a store Suzanne's bridals did my first wedding (they are in Gilbert).  If you want an outside person I recommend Janet Kirkman- she is doing my wedding gown this time.  Janet is in Scottsdale and is wonderful.

I had mine done by Tham at David's Bridal. I could not be happier with the result - and there was a lot of work that she had to do. If you didn't get your dress from David's Bridal, let me know and I can dig up her personal number.

I met with Janet Kirkman two weeks back and I loved her!  I pick up my dress tomorrow.  I will keep you posted.  I have yet to see the final product but I was really impressed with her when I went in to determine the alterations.  I am very confident and loved some of the suggestions she made.  She and I were totally on the same page and her prices are totally reasonable and affordable.

I third Janet Kirkman.  I'm getting sizing, heming, custom beadwork, garter, and 3 bustle points and it's costing me around $350 (do not quote me)She's in Scottsdale, but she's worth the drive from where ever
