Tent? Freaking out!

Hi girls! I have yet another freak out. We're havning C&R outside at a friend's house October 23rd. Aproximately 160-175 guests with 23 60" round tables. My concern is that I have no rain plan. I just checked with our rental place and it's going to cost $1,000 for a tent that would be big enough to fit everyone and I still wouldn't have enough room to have the ceremony away from the tables! Should I really be this concerned about it raining?  All the stuff online says the avg precipitation in Oct. is .6 inches.

IMHO would not be freeking out just yet... usually you can get a somewhat accurate 15 day forcast online... then go from there. . . if there looks like there might even be rain around your date like 2 days before or 2 days after you might want to cosider a tent then. the website we used was www.AccuWeather.com We checked our forecast 15 days out from our May wedding and it said it was going to be 101 and sunshine the day ended up 102 and sunshine.

Hi! I can defintely see why you are freaking out, but I don't think you need to worry.  October is not typically a rainy month and it has not rained very often this year! That said, would you have the ability to rent the tent last minute if the forecast is showing rain for the week? See if you can negotiate something with your rental company.  This will give you peace of mind.  I would hate to see you rent something and it turns out to be a sunny day (which it probably will! :-) ) Good luck and try not to worry too much!

I agree with pp.  I understand why you're freaking out but I don't think there's much to worry about.  I'm getting married 2 weeks before you and the same day last year it was windy but clear blue skies!

Thanks ladies! I've revisited the site today and decided if it does rain then its off to Vegas! lol.
