I've kept a good friend updated all the way along and she's taking care of pretty much everything for me. Not anything movie-worthy; she won't be standing at the church door telling each person when to walk! But she has all the vendor info, the schedules for the men and women for the day, she's skipping the receiving line and running to the reception site to check everything. If there's a friend you can really trust, you might want to go in this direction, unless it's so big it would have to be a professional.

I was going to have an aunt do this for me, but she ended up not being able to travel down for the wedding. Luckily, one of my mom's friends used to help with lots of weddings, so we offered her a DOC job. She's even bringing her sister, because they like to work together, for the same price! I would see if you know someone like this. I don't know what a "professional" DOC would give me that these two ladies aren't bending over backwards to do for me.

Thanks ladies! Problem solved =) A gf I've known since we were 3 and who has her own coordination biz in Chicago is coming and just told me she's happy to do it for free! I only have a few key thingsI was worried about anyway, so this is a HUGE relief for me!
