Cake vendors

Has anyone used Honey Moon Sweets Bakery or Fleur di Lis Bakery for their cake?? The cost of our cake is included in the price of our food and beverage but the venue is only contracted with these two bakeries. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them to help me decide which one to go with. Thanks!!

The resort I used to work at used Honeymoon Sweets exclusively.  I never had any issue with them, their cakes were beautiful and they tasted good.  I would recommend them to a friend.  I do not have any experience with Fleur di Lis though.

I used Fleur Di Lis cake, because it, too, was part of my package. I had a really good experience with them. We went in for a tasting, and had a really hard time choosing flavors! We ended up choosing the lemon with raspberry filling, white chocolate mousse and carrot cake. I have to say, they were all to die for! And i got so many compliments on how gorgeous my cake was. So overall, great experience and i would recommend them! :)

Ditto on Fleur di lis, we were really happy with our cake. Everytime I see pictures I want some :) We went with a lemon raspberry with whip topping.

We did a tasting with Fleur de Lis, and my fiancé and I were both very happy with the way the cake tasted.  The pink champagne cake is excellent!  We ultimately decided to go with someone else who seemed to have a better vision of what it should look like, but I would recommend Fleur de Lis based on taste.  They were pretty easy to work with, too, and communicated well via email.

We used Fleur de Lis for our wedding which was three weeks ago and our cake turned out absolutely beautiful and was delicious. Everyone thought our cake was fake because it looked so amazing. I had a great experience with them!

I agree that Honeymoon Sweets has great cake, but I did have a couple of issues with them.

The biggest issue I had with them is they didn't really like the design my FI and I wanted so they tried to talk us into a different design, They then said they could do the design, but it would cost around $7.00 per serving because square cakes are more complicated than round ones because they only had round pans.  When we asked about anything else, the answer we got was, "that's just the way it is."

They seem to be a great bakery as long as you want a design like what they have in their portfolio already, but anything too different and they become difficult to work with.
