Wedding insurance

Hello all,  I live in NY but am from AZ and am having my wedding in the Phoenix area.  My question is about whether any of you have considered wedding insurance.  I am hearing quite a bit about the golf clubs and resorts being affected by the economy, and it has me a little worried.  I know that it also covers other aspects such as lost deposits.  Does anyone have any experience with this, or has considered wedding insurance?

One venue I worked at (a Garden type venue) made it mandatory that brides got insurance.  You can get a rider on your home owners or renters insurance for the wedding.  But it was not necessarily in case the venue went under, it was in case something happened at the wedding where a guest may sue the venue or the bride/groom.I did not get insurance because there is a clause in my contract with the venue about what would happen if anything happened to the venue, either something like bankruptcy or a natrual disaster.  If this was not in my contract I would have added a rider to my home owners insurance.  There are also companies that offer wedding insurance, but I am not sure what they are.

Thanks Ladies!   This was really helpful.  I am going to go ahead and purchase the insurance.  It seems worth it with all of the different vendors I will be working with.  It will only be about $250 total, less than $300 if I got maximum coverage.  Seems like it might be worth it given the money I am investing.

Some banks and credit card companys offer it. I think I saw something at Desert Schools.
