One thing my fiance and I know we want is a live band at the reception (so much more fun and energy!) does anyone have any recommendations? We are big into classic rock and stuff that everyone knows! Thanks!!

We are getting our band through Jerry Bruno productions.  They are a management company located in Valley View that manages about 50 bands.  You tell them your budget and what kind of music you want and they find you the band!  You then go in and meet with them and they show you a DVD sample of each band and you narrow it down.  Next you can go hear them play when they play next. 

I highly recommend them.  We had a lot of choices, but we went with more of a motown/oldies band.  I would check out their website, they list all of their bands.  They travel all over Ohio.

JB does a good job, but often, you'll get better pricing booking directly through a band instead of going thru a broker like JB.

Some bands to check out include: Pineapple Wine, Replay, Grand Avenue Band and Run Avril Run. Good luck!

Thanks for the input. We will probably just go through the band itself instead of having a booking agent. There are a few that we know play around our area a lot and we might go see them within the next few weeks. This is good though, because the band you told me about are bands I've never heard of so we'll have to check them out too! Thanks!

My FH's sister is in Grand Avenue Band and were playing at Pickwick & Frolic when we got engaged (New Year's) in Cleveland.  They are AMAZING! Glad to see everyone agrees
