Hey girls!
I'm wondering if any  of you know of great photographers for a budget price.
Also, I'm thinking of just having the ceremony recorded. Has anyone done this? What did you think?

I am a budget bride too and luckily found Ivy Harding (www.picchickonline.com). She is incredibly affordable, has beautiful work, and is just a sweetheart!

Umm i found our Photographer on the knot actually, Moments in Film.
Jacquelyn Phillips is just wonderful and i think her pricing is great.

Yea I did but the i was more impressed with her for several reasons.
 1 - free engagement session as part of the package
 2 - two photogs on the day of the wedding ( this pretty much ensures nothing will be missed)
 3 - total reproduction release of all the pictures from both the engagement session and the wedding.  A lot of the photogs i was finding weren't offering this and if they were they wanted payment for it or would charge you for the engagement session

Also when i was looking at their website I wasn't all to impressed with the photos i saw on there... but here is a list of the other ones i found when i first started researching photogs   But i will say Kacy Hughes was a close second.  a few friends and I are getting her to do a maternity/newborn shoot with our other friend who is expecting.

I'm going with Jennifer Weems. She was the best price we found. We got a free engagement session and the pictures came out great. She gives us full release of all the pictures - this was very important to me because prints can be so expensive. Also, she does save-the-dates and we didn't get them through her so she gave us an extra hour on the wedding day instead.

We went with Mike and Amanda with Memories Through Time.  They were absolutely phenomenal, and we were so excited for our pictures and video.  They have since gone up in their pricing, but IMO, they would be worth every penny.  They really have great service.

I actually have a college friend who is just starting out. If you're willing to take a chance I'm sure you could get an awesome deal with him. We also went to school for film production, I'm not sure if he offers videography but he has contacts.

We went with Nick Oza (www.nickoza.com) he works with the Arizona Republic and we had awesome documentary style pictures, they were candid, and not straight poses...

My friend from high school does GORGEOUS wedding photography with her husband. I haven't talked to her to find out prices or anything yet but I am pretty sure I am going to try to get her to do our engagement and wedding photography! Until now I have just been oogling her blog and drooling over their gorgeous photos. They also put together a wonderful photo montage to music after they are done editing the wedding photos!

We are using Danielle Daigle.  We loved our engagement pics, and can't wait to see the wedding ones!  She has some flexibility on pricing and packages that are simpler that are more affordable.

Sounds like you have a good candidate list going, but I'll throw mine out there too. I'm using Laura Segall, http://segallphotography.com/. I'm not sure what your budget is, but she has good packages. She is available for the entire day of your wedding. That was a huge plus for me.

I am a photographer based mainly in Prescott but I travel all over Arizona. My motto is "beautiful, affordable photographs," and I work really hard to make sure I provide memorable prints, all images on a CD, and a beautiful hardcover book with photos of the day inside. I do all of this for under $1,000.

I am able to save by working a second job and paying myself less for my photography, and by cutting costs in areas like using a free website and not purchasing the copyrights to my photos (this also means you can print and re-print to your heart's desire without having to purchase a copyright from me or anything like that).
