Hello! I am a bride in the last 40 days before the big day, after almost a year of planning. It has been a little challenging because my wedding is in Phoenix, AZ - but I live in Albuquerque, NM. My FH's familiy lives there and doesn't travel, so our only guarantee of having them at our wedding was to have it there. So, I have made monthly weekenders to AZ to get things done, have meetings, do tastings, etc. In addition, most of my family (and 2 of my bridesmaids) live in my hometown of San Francisco, CA.
But, the big day is almost here (10/30/10!) and I'm down to the fun stuff! My fiance and I live and love in the world of rockabilly, burlesque, and both of our hispanic cultures - so we are having a dia de los muertos theme. It has been a blast pulling in lots of color, culture, and kitsch to make this whole thing fly.
What's left to do? vows, programs, and making sure all the groomsmen actually got their outfits!
