I just got married on 12/3/10, wanted to post some of our vendor reviews.
Venue:
Villa Siena- We had our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception here and it was simply amazing! This was one of our biggest expenses but I do not regret spending the money for it. Amy was our coordinator and she was fantastic. She far exceeded our expectations, when she said she didn't want us to worry about anything, she meant it.
Cake:
Piece of Cake- The cake looked and tasted great! We met with Kevin for our consultation and we left feeling confident that our cake would turn out how we wanted and it did.
DJ:
SKM Entertainment- They assigned us Juan for our wedding and he was great also. We didn't want an overbearing, cheesy DJ and he was perfect. He played great music and our guests danced all night.
Catering:
A Savory Affair- We met with Chef Tim and he was our primary contact throughout the process. I was a little concerned with communicating through text (which was our primary source of communication) but he came through and the food was great. We had one set menu for adults, kids, then a few guests that had to eat a gluten free menu and he accommodated all our requests. Everyone kept complimenting us all night on how great the food was.
String Trio:
Allegro Quartet- There's not a lot to say here, they played the songs we wanted and they sounded great, I would definitely recommend them!
Florist:
Blume Events- Kristen was great, my bouquet, the girls bouquets and the centerpieces were awesome. We had several changes throughout the process and she worked with us the entire way.
Photographer:
Danielle Daigle- I cannot put into words just how amazing she is. She was great from the moment we booked her until the end of the wedding day. She got all the shots we wanted and was so nice, wasn't in the way and was so efficient when doing our family photos and getting them done quickly. I am confident we will love our wedding pictures and album when we get them.
Alterations:
Janet Kirkman- She did a great job on my dress, it fit perfectly and I loved the bustle. Her prices were reasonable and she was quick.
Tuxes:
Men's Wearhouse- Not much to say here, we chose the tuxes we wanted, everything came out as we wanted.
Hotel blocks:
Hampton Inn & Suites in Chandler on Spectrum Blvd- We worked with Amy Buckman and she was so helpful. She showed us the rooms and also worked with getting us a shuttle to and from the venue for our guests. My husband also worked with them (without my knowledge) to have roses and champagne in the room when we got back from the wedding and it was amazing.
Transportation:
MTL Sedan Service- Mike Lang is the owner and we arranged to have him pick us up, he showed up early (on our request) and was a great price.
Makeup:
Makeup by Jen B- She was great, she did makeup for my mom, MOH and a bm and everyone loved how it turned out and her prices are great. She did an amazing job, my look lasted throughout the night, even with some tears. : )
Rehearsal Dinner:
Grimaldi's in Chandler- Our contact for the event was Joey. They were easy to work with and for our 30 guests, it was a great price.
A couple things I have to say is some of the little things you may be analyzing now in your planning will not matter when the day comes. We really only met with one vendor in each category, Theknot and Wedding wire were my friends throughout this process. The reviews of previous brides are so helpful. Get everything in writing and you will feel much better. The entire day was PERFECT and I wouldn't change a thing!
