Day-after brunch/lunch locations

Hi ladies-
I need some help with ideas...we want to organize a day-after brunch or lunch.  We dont want it to be an event that we (bride and groom) pay for but rather just a "come if you want to" type thing...We'd need a restaurant that would let us reserve for at least 30-40 people but that would not make us pay for everything...ie: would let guests pay for their own meals.

We want to have it somewhere in Scottsdale or Tempe...any ideas? Oh..the other issue is that it is Easter Sunday!  Yikes, I know...

With that size party, I think you're going to have to organize a catered event through your hotel. I can't imagine a restaurant giving up that many seats for Easter Brunch. This might be something you just can't do.. but don't let me be the downer! Go for it and see what happens :-)

Yeah...that's what I was thinking.  What I think we've decided on doing is having it at our house...we have a nice, big backyard and pool so it could be fun.  We'll just look in to renting some extra tables and chairs and then probably just get "party platters" from the grocery store to keep costs down.  We would like to have it catered but just cant work that in to our budget (plus, I think the rehearsal dinner and the actual wedding should be enough).  It would have been nice though to do it at a restaurant so that we didnt have to worry about entertaining so many people at our home on our first day as hubby and wife

At home sounds fun especially if you can enlist local family and friends to pick up things and help out. Don't give up on the brunch out idea, though - maybe a big hotel has a semi-private room in their restaurant? It can't hurt to try. 

I think you're very thoughtful to do this for everyone. They will appreciate it either way you go!
