Western Skies in Gilbert

Has anyone had or been to a wedding at Western Skies Golf Club? I'm looking for opinions/reviews. Thanks!

    oops, just saw that you said Gilbert in the subject... the pictures on there site are really pretty though :) what other places have you looked into over there? I researched a couple while I was looking and may have some insight you can compare to what you know about this place...

    This was actually the first place we went and looked at. My fiance and I are paying for this ourselves and need to do something affordable. Western Skies has a nice golf course on a lake and was VERY affordable. The only thing I'm not sure of is the indoor reception area, it is very casual which I like but am a little iffy about. Also was wondering about the food and service. They offered us a free lunch, so I think we will try that out too.

    I used to live in the community and had lunch at the cafe there often. The food is good, and the staff are really nice. Be aware of the fact that they used to have a problem with algae on the lake (it would turn all greenish brown) a few times a year. I moved, so they may have it fixed now.

    Lins- Have you made a decision on Western Skies yet?  I am also looking at this venue for my ceremony/reception and have an appointment this weekend.  We are paying for this ourselves too so we are trying to find just the right place for just the right price.  Have you looked at anyplace else that you liked?

    I'm in the same boat! We're pretty much paying ourselves and this place looks like it could be very nice and from what I hear a great price...they still haven't emailed me with pricing information yet. Does anyone else have this that they can email me? tluzum@gmail.com
