Weekly Getting in Shape Board - 5/3


Well, I thought I did decent last week with getting back to my gym routine, but no weight loss on the scale for me this week :(.  This week, I should do better at the gym - although we are starting to do some cake tastings, so guess that will be my goodies for the week :)

    good for you for getting back into your gym routine! I wouldn't get too down about not losing any weight yet, focus more on how you look and feel.

    as for me, last week I didn't do very well at all. Today, I had really hoped to work out, but getting called into work at the last minute threw off my whole schedule. Hopefully I can get in a work out this evening, or I'll at least try to eat better.

    and slightly off topic, but where are you going to cake tastings at?

    I ran 2.5 miles out of 3 today!  My goal is to do the 3 straight by the wedding, and I'm almost there!

    Nilla- good for you on running 2.5 miles straight!  That is hard work! 

    Amy - no worries, you will be fine with the cake tasting.  All of the vendors we met with had small tasting, so it is just a little bite!

    Led- good luck getting to the gym!  I will be sending positive work out vibes your way!

    As for me... back on the wagon.  Mondays are always the easiest for me to stick with it.  Good thong too because with all the wind in the Valley last week, my allergies are killing me.  So, I did not want to go to the gym!  Thank goodness I had my gym bag packed and in my car so I went straight there.  60 min of a strength training class. 

    I did really well on my eating today.  The weekends are my down fall as FI works out of town Sunday - Thursday.  So, when he is here on the weekends, we often are very busy and out and about which leads to eating out more that I would like!

    Tomorrow on the agenda... Spin Class... this is my most difficult class to drag my butt to!  I am hoping by posting this here, I will feel guilty if I dont go!

    nilla - you will be there very shortly - good job :)

    led - I have appointments with Honeymoon sweets (this week) and Piece of Cake (next week)

    lcarp - spin classes are rough - you get yourself there!

    Oh...and I got my usual full workout in at the gym and ate well today :)  Planning on running in the morning, hoping that I get back to the normal 3 miles as the last two times we just did 2.5 since I wasn't feeling up to it.

    I loved my cake tastings!  I pretty much pigged out at Dolce Pesca, because she gave us four 4x4 pieces of cake between three people.  I had to share the bite sized samples from a Piece of Cake with about 10 people.  We took that one home, and everyone wanted to try some :(

    My FMIL has been so great about dieting that I'm jealous.  She only took one bite of each one! 

    I seriously want some cake now....

    Yay today is my friday, so hopefully i can be good the rest of the week. I am thinking about just keeping busy, cleaning house, yard work, and maybe some shopping. On a positive note I was down 1 pound yesterday, so slow and steady, only 24 more to go ugggg!!!! How did I let myself get this out of shape?

    I'm responding late. I've been tracking my workouts out dailymile religiously and working hard to track my food intake on sparkpeople. It takes so much effort...but I'm working on it!

    Ok, maybe no more cake discussion on the thread laugh - I have half of our sample from honeymoon sweets in the fridge...probably not a good idea.

    Well - I skipped my run and workout yesterday but made it to the gym today and only ate half of my lunch out.  I'm going to Vegas this weekend, so I'm a little worried about that.
