Wedding Dress Shopping!!!

Hi ladies -

Alright, I'm just starting to get into planning mode, trying to finalize a date and venue.  My mother is coming in to Phoenix at the end of the month and I want to make a few appointments to go dress shopping (isn't this the best part??).

I was hoping to get a few recommendatins on some places to shop around town.  A friendly staff with lots of options and price ranges is ideal.  I will absolutely be going ot Lillian Lottiee as the staff there is unbelievable! any other places we should visit?

Thanks!

Re: Wedding Dress Shopping!!!

  • Well I was going to recommend Lillian Lottie cause that's where I got my dress and BM dresses. When I was shopping around, I also enjoyed Uptown Bridal. Good luck! Hope you enjoy your wedding dress shopping experience!

I had the best experience at Wedding Belles in Gilbert. It's a new small boutique and you get the full attention of the owner, Natalie. They only fit one appointment at a time slot so when we went, we pretty much had the store to ourselves. She even offered champagne mimosas and cookies. At first, I thought I wasn't going to find my dress there, but the 2nd dress she pulled was the one! I had gone shopping elsewhere before that (at a larger store) and just felt more overwhelmed and distracted from what I was looking for. At Wedding Belles, we felt really comfortable and we ended up hanging out for a while chatting with Natalie. One of her passions is photography so not only will she let you take pics of all the dresses you try on, she'll take professional photos of you and send you a slideshow to help you decide! I think that service is unheard of in the bridal gown industry. (Actually the middle and right pic of my dress siggy below are from her) So if you really want a good shopping experience, i'd go there.

    Have a great time shopping!

  • I had a great experience at Lillian Lottie in Old Town as well. La Bella was also nice.

    Still here and still fabulous!

  • Thanks so much for the recommendations.  ReyesToy - what a beautiful dress.  I love the idea of her sending pictures.

    Much appreciated...
  • I got mine at Marie'e and had a great experience! Good luck!
  • Arizona Bridal and Formal is where I went. Very reasonable prices, too.

We went bridesmaid dress shopping at Lillian Lottie and had a crappy experience. Our salesgirl had no idea what she was talking about, kept disappearing to "find prices" but wouldn't return for what felt like forever, and the store was really cramped.

I highly highly recommend Almond Tree Bridal. It's a lovely bridal consignment shop in City North with fantastic customer service and a huge range of dresses and prices.

  • I second Almond Tree. I moved out here alone and had to go dress shopping by myelf  but the consultants and the owner Pam were fantastic. It almost felt like my mother and sister were there helping instead of employees!
  • I am going to Alfred Angelo in Tucson this weekend! I am really excited and hoping to have an amazing experience there!

  • I went to a place called Azteca in Phoenix the first time I went looking.  They had a huge selection, but the service was so-so.  I don't mean to sound like a jackass, but they didn't really "fuss" over me very much.  I know that sounds completely stupid, but you know what I mean - when you are getting married, you want to make sure you get some undivided attention when picking out a dress that costs so much money.  I felt like I was waiting too much for help.  Anyway I ended up going to Davids Bridal.  I liked it just fine.  I had a few pictures picked out of a magazine and they had them all in stock.  Just my 2 cents.
  • I found a dress I liked at Azteca.  After having a bad experience at Davids Bridal (where they make you have an appointment and then the associate ditched me!), it was nice being able to just go through dresses at Azteca without anyone bothering me.   I had my MOH with me, so she helped me get in and out of dresses, it was a nice time.   They had a huge selection too!

I liked the dress, and I might go back for it, but I want to look online first.
