Hand delivering invites (a little early)...

I am *hoping* to be in town (in Phoenix) about 11 weeks before our wedding for a friends wedding, fitting, etc.  I am wondering (1) is hand delivering invites to family members, wedding party and very close friends ok or tacky and (2) if this is too early to deliver the invites?  The reason for doing this is NOT to save on postage, but rather to make absolutely certain that the invites get to these very special guests :)  Do you think this is ok?  Or should I wait a little bit longer to send them out?

I love the idea of hand delivery and I have about 20 invites that I plan to hand deliver to my VIPS. 11 weeks is a little early, but not horribly so...heck The Knot says we should all be sending out invites at 12 weeks!

I think that is more than acceptable!  It's great that you are ensuring delivery to those guests; we had quite a few that were lost in the mail.

Thanks for your input!  I would be SO upset if any of them got lost in the mail!!

Hand delivering has such the personal touch :) Kudos, and go right ahead :)
