Hello Ladies!

I've been a member of The Knot for a few months now, and learned about the boards not to long ago (gotten a lot of great ideas and vendor information)!

I have the location picked and my dress purchased already.  Still working on a florist, a baker, and now a DJ (my original choice, a friend of mine, is now unavailable. But she's having a baby so its fanstastic!).

About the proposal - Jesse and I had discussed getting married and had already started making plans mid last year. So I knew we were getting married, I just was not sure when he was going to ask for my hand.

Christmas Eve 2009, we went to pick up my Grandparents to head to Jesse's Father's sides festivities.  We get to his Aunts place and after an hour of mingling, we get ready to sit down to dinner. His Aunt asks him to say the blessing.

Jesse proceeds to announce in front of everyone how we've started planning, but he has skipped an important step. He turns to me, and gets down on one knee. All I hear after that point is white noise. And he doesn't remember what he said either since he did not have anything prepared. lol

I found out later that night that he also asked my Grandparents permission prior to popping the question, which meant a lot to me.

11/06/2010 is the day I'll be marrying my best friend!

We've booked the Windemere in Mesa for the ceremony and reception.  After calling around to multiple venues and finally meeting with the catering director, Joe, we knew that the people at Windemere would meet all our needs for the price we wanted.  We asked, we received!  Very accomidating staff to work with.

We went to our first cake tasting this past Saturday at Let Them Eat Cake.  Horrible experience that we had to pay for.

Still in the market for a florist, a baker, and a DJ.
