Not too too much, but one of my best friends is coming from MN to visit for a week, so I can't wait! What about you?

We'll be going to NY to visit FI's family for a week or so.   He has a pretty big family that is really close... so it can be pretty overwhelming for me.  I love all of them really, but it's just too much sometimes.  LOL

He hasn't been home all year, so we're going there instead of Ohio to my family.  I've been home once, and my mom was here for a couple weeks, so since we can't afford to do both states this year (or have the time off) it made more sense.

Now I just need to find someone to check on my kitties while we're gone.  =)

A bit north of NYC, but last year we did go into the city for a day.  =)

I really wanted to go for new years eve, but FI was having none of it.  He's done it before and said it's just a crowded mess, but he can say that because he's done it before!!  LOL    I still want to go!

I love NYC at Christmas time! Have an amazing time, and I hope he gives in and takes you to the city for New Years :-)

It was really pretty...  but I don't think I actually got to see a whole lot.  The tree of course, and the skating rink, and the big toy store... the outside of Macy's for a quick few minutes while everyone else was waiting in the truck.  LOL

I hope he gives in too!  It's really just something that I want to be able to say I've done and was there for.  Even if it's nothing like I think it will be, at least then I'll know for sure and have experienced it.

My bff lives in NYC and says the same thing about NYE as your fi -- that it is a huge mess and really not that great. She and her DH gave in last year and took some friends who were visiting down there and the whole thing was major drama 'rama. That said, I can see the appeal of doing it once.

As for us, we're staying here for Christmas and spending the day with my family. We'll do something with his family Christmas Eve. He's going on a boys skiing trip with his brothers between Christmas and New Years.

FI and I will spend the week before Christmas in WA with my family, Christmas Day flying home, a couple of days after that with FI's family, and New Year's eve with some friends of ours. I'm so excited to get such a big chunk of time with FI, since we only get the weekends together usually. :D
