Orpheum Penthouse

Does anybody know about how much this venue costs?  I'm taking a look at it on Saturday, and I'm terrified I will fall even more in love with it than I already am and then find out it is thousands of dollars outside of our budget.  But I have to at least look because it is my freakin' dream venue, outside of the courthouse.  I've been looking for something like this for months and had no idea it existed until yesterday.


Ugh.  Planning is making me insane.

    This is where we are getting married! It's normally $3500 for a Saturday, but we got them to bring it down to $3000. For a Friday, I believe it's $2500, but I think they told us they could go down to $2000. HTH.

    You are looking at $2000-$3000 depending on the season and night. The place is cool and very hip. Another cool location is the Phoenix Art Museum.

    OMG Score!  I was worried it would be so much more, but that's not too much over our current favorite venue.  Do you mind sharing your bargaining techniques?

    I would recommend speaking to the owners directly. I was told by a wedding planner that the owners were not willing to negotiate. Responses to this post seem to indicate otherwise.

    I didn't really have to try that hard. I have been working with Riette. I just told her that I loved the Penthouse, but that I was afraid it was going to be out of my budget. I asked her what would be some ways we could bring the cost down a little and she said she could take $500 off for either day, but that was the lowest they could go. They also just took on a third caterer, Copper Square Kitchen, which is considerably lower priced than the other two (You have to go with one of the three).

    admittedly, when I first started talking with her we were on a stricter budget. I made an offer which was rejected and she told me that there was no negotiating beyond that. Fair enough I suppose, I wish we would have at least received a counter offer.

    I'm sure your event at the Orpheum will be incredible!!!

    Coolio!  I've been talking to Riette and she seems really nice.  She is taking me to see 4 venues on Saturday (Orpheum Penthouse, Icehouse, Taj MaPaul and monOrchid).  I'm really excited!  Thanks for your help!
