Reasonable price for bartender?

What is a reasonable price for bartender service for the cocktail hour & reception? We will be providing the alcohol. I ask because my caterer is offering the service for $250, and I have no sense of whether this is a reasonable market rate.

I am interested in hearing what you paid, for those of you who purchased it 'a la carte'.

The lowest I ahve heard is 25 dollars an hour 5 hour min per bartender

Our bartender has agreed to just do the alcohol because our caterer is doing the water, tea and sodas. We are getting margarita station 2 domestic beers and 1 mexican beer for about 5.25 per person. I would think that 250 total and they are including liquor is a great deal.

We are using Hey Bartender. They have several packages. The one we are using, where we provide the alcohol, is about $150.

We are using Arizona Bartenders - my contact is Tracy. She's super nice and very helpful. We're going with the whole package that they provide because we figured it would be easier then trying to figure out how much alcohol we need to get and then getting it there and packing it up, etc. but I think they have a $25 per bartender package that you can do if you're providing your own.
