Transportation

I know I have seen posts on here before about transportation but the only recommendation I can remember is Ollie the Trolley and I already have their pricing info.

I am really trying to find the best option in transportation because we have a HUGE bridal party. We have 20 in the party and I am not certain if our parents will want to ride with us or not so I think I need to plan on 27 total at one point (one of the photographers will be in there with us too).

We will be split in half before the ceremony and then all of us will ride together from the church to the reception. I was thinking of just renting something smaller for the first hour to pick up the girls, drop them off, then pick up the boys and drop them off, then doing something like a party bus or what have you for the ride back, but I don't know.

I went on the bridal tour this past summer and the limos they had were just AWFUL. None of the air conditioning worked and the layout for some reason was really weird. I have also heard horror stories of limo drivers being rude, late, leaving during the ceremony with forgotten bridal items inside, horrible drivers, etc. and want to have the best chance of this NOT happening to us as possible...

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Try Driver Provider or TranStyle.  I always use them for events.

Just something to think about... Many rental companies require a rental with a minimum amount of hours.  That can make rentals significantly more expensive if you're looking to rent a limo for just one hour.  Although a bit inconvenient, it may be best (most cost effective) to have your party bus pick up the groomsmen first, then come back to pick up your bridal party.  That way, you only have one renal and your groomsmen can socialize with the guests before hand.

Some alternative places to look for rentals are funeral homes.  They have limos to rent out when they aren't being used.  I have not actually looked into this to compare prices, but I have heard of people liking their policies better.

Try Platinum Rides - owner seems pretty cool (we met him over dinner at the bar at The Keg one night) and I think that have different levels of party busses and large limos... We are looking into using them for the bachelor & bachelorette parties since we already booked Ollie the Trolley to shuttle our guests back and forth for the wedding :)
