e-pic locations?

FI and I are getting are E-pics done on January 21st.  Any location ideas?  We're not really into the urban/edgy look, so anything other than that would be awesome.

We took ours near Tempe Town Lake because there a lot of diverse sites all within walking distance of the lake.

There's a little historic sqaure just north of the lake on Rio Salado. It has a gazebo, some older-looking, brick houses, a large tree, and green shrubs and grass. It also has an old style gate that we took some great pictures in front of.

We then walked a little more north and west to get to the railroad tracks and we took some pics there. Then we went back towards the lake and beach park, and took pics near and under the railroad bridge that is right across Rio Salado from the park. This had more of a desert/Arizona feel compared to the historic square.

We ended with the more typical pics in front of the lake with the bridge lit up in the background. There are a lot of great places in AZ to take e-pics. We just liked this one because of all the different scenery. HTH!

We also did ours at TTL and Mill Ave because it had sentimental value to us (we met & had our first date there).  However, we also considered taking pictures at the Desert Botanical Gardens because you can get great views of the Papago Peaks and desert scenery.  I've also heard a lot of people taking pictures at the Love sculpture in Scottsdale, or at Freestone Park in Mesa.  There are tons of great options.

We just did ours this weekend at the Scottsdale Civic Center.  It's got the LOVE statue as well as fountains and lots of green, trees, flowers and walking paths. I've seen a few that our photog (my sis-in-law) has already edited and they look awesome.  There's also a few hidden spots with some colorful walls that you can stand in front of that end up with some great shots.

Beware though - we had to stand in line, literally, to take pics at the LOVE statue. Everywhere else was easy, but that spot is time consuming!!

If you're looking for something a little more desert-y, there's also Pinnacle Peak. There's the PP Patio, which is 'old west' looking, or you can go up to the edge of the trail on PP and get some really good ones with mountains behind you (like these):

Freestone Park in Gilbert is beautiful. We did ours in Sept, so I'm not sure how it will look in Jan. But there is a mini train, waterfalls, and a carousel. Lots of cool options.
