I'm back with lots of checks! What's been going on?

Hi Knotties! I just got back home to London after 4 weeks in the states for the holidays and wedding planning. We got so much done! We booked our DJ, met with our church, met several florists, had our e-pics taken with our photographer, found a lighting guy for the reception, found bridesmaid dresses, and took my dress for alterations. Plus we saw our families and friends, attended a wedding in Florida, and had a wonderful Christmas and New Years.

How were all of your holidays? Did you spend them with your fiance's family or yours (or both)?

Welcome back Bmore! Sounds like you had a wonderful and busy 4 weeks! I'm sure it was soooo nice being with your family for the holidays. We spent the holidays with my family since FI's mom doesn't celebrate anything. Literally anything. Not a single Christmas decoration. And his dad's family lives about an hour away and neither one of us are too fond of them. So we bummed around here with my family. It was great!

Wow! You got a lot done!!! I still haven't gotten my dress yet and you're already having it alternated! I'm jealous.

Is it difficult planning a wedding from overseas?

Welcome back!! Glad you had such a successful trip!

We just took engagement pictures too, they were yesterday and we moved our tasting up to 1/28 so that is just around the corner for us.  Our holidays were fun but we are happy they are over.

Thanks! I can't wait to see the e-pics. We did end up doing them at our university and it was so fun. How long did it take you all to get them back from the photographer? We took them December 19th and nothing yet. I was hoping for at least a few teasers by now, but I guess with the holidays that was unrealistic.

Yes! That's why this month was so productive, we were trying to jam in about 4 months of planning into one. But now all of our vendors are set (except transportation, but FI's parents offered to work that out). I don't know how we would do this planning without the help of our parents!

We spent half of Christmas with FI's family and the other half with mine. It went very smoothly and we had a great time

Wow! Congrats on getting so much done! That's awesome that you are basically done now except transporation.  We are at about the same point for big things to get done
