Table Numbers and Place Cards

What are you doing for them?  I have been looking around online, and I'm in sticker shock :(

Re: Table Numbers and Place Cards

To go with my whole baseball theme, I'm basically copying January Bride's posterboard and table numbers with my own twist. She did Chicago landmarks. I'm doing black and white pictures of ballparks. Each table will be a ballpark instead of a number. Here's the link to her bio thingy: http://www.google.com/gwt/x?wsc=pr&wsi=0a4921092981e2d7&u=http%3A%2F%2Fjanuarybride.googlepages.com/diy&ei=GgeAS6LkAYWirQPg0pDCAg

    Good luck!

Since I met my fiance in the World of Warcrat (we're huge geeks!), I'm naming the tables after zones in the game, and probably making cards out of screen shots.

This is definitely a DIY project for me!

Nilla- you could totally make your own and save some $$$!

I am not to that point in my planning yet, but, I am planning on making my own.  If you go to a local scrapbook store, they could give you a bunch of ideas.  I know you are not in AZ, but if you were I would recommend Scrapbooks ect in Mesa.

Or, you could see if there is a designer on Etsy that could do the template design work for you!  You could print them yourself or through a local print shop.

You are super crafty!  Look for ideas on line and I am sure yours will looks great!  I totally admire your budget bride abilities!

I'm planning on making my own (which is scary because I'm not really crafty).  However, I got cardstock at Joann's for ~$10 for the place cards.  It should be pretty simple.  I'm not going to make them super fancy, I just want them to look nice.  And then I'm going to print out large numbers for the tables and buy frames and the DollarTree and have framed, super simple table numbers.  Altogether I don't expect to spend more than $30 or so, hopefully ;)  I think this is a good DIY project if you have the time.  It cuts costs by a lot!

I bought placecards on cards and pockets and then found a reasonably priced calligrapher on etsy.  I sent her the cards, she put my guests names, presto!  They turned out great!!!  For my table numbers I got 4x6 black picture frames from the trash to treasure board, used the same pink paper as the placecards and just printed the numbers on them and put it in the frame.  It looked really nice, was easy and not to pricey.

    We used this idea:

...but designed our own cards to match our colors. They have the frames at the Arizona Ikea and they are 99 cents each.

I'm making my own- but I got the idea off a wedding blog.

I'm going to buy cardstock and print the names and table number on them (I'm only assigning tables, not individual seat).  Then to hold the card up I'm using wine corks (wine is a big part of my life :)  I'll have my future hubs make a slit in them using some power tool- which I won't pretend to know anything about- and then the name card just goes right in!

    Voila!

Wine is a huge part of our life too Beckity!! Since we started dating we have saved the corks from the wine we've shared and dated them with a marker. We are having wine bottles to hold the table numbers and we are also doing corks for place cards. We are going to have people write messages (memories, advice, anything) to us on their wine cork and drop them into a oversized wine glass that we can keep in our house later.

    Marissa-

I love the idea of using the wine bottles on the tables.  I might just have to steal that from you if you don't mind!  My fiancee isn't the biggest wine lover- but he likes it and I definitely love it.  I also love the idea of incorporating it into the day!

Steal away Beckity! I saw a really cute idea on a blog where they spray painted them one of their wedding colors and then applied their own "wine lable" so it gave it this funky modern look. Not sure what you are going for but I loved it. I will try and find the link for you!
