Rehearsal Dinner location? In Phoenix area? Need lots of HELP!

Hey so I dont even want to get into how I got into this situation but I'm geting married May 8th and totally forgot about the rehearsal dinner! AHH I know!

I live on the east coast so I don't really know what restaurants are out there. So I need your help knotties!

We are having an outdoor informal garden wedding. I would kinda love to have Mexican food cause my family doesn't get "authentic" out where we are but I'm not married to the idea. Just need a good place for about 35 people that can do this on short notice, and hopefully not too expensive. Don't know what to really budget here or what is the normal amount to spend on a rehearsal dinner. I don't want it to be too much. I mean I am having a wedding the next day.

Try Aunt Chiladas.  They specialize in wedding events at their restaurant.

I can think of 2 places that should be able to accommodate a large group (both in Central Phoenix):

    1. Tradiciones: http://www.tradicionesrestaurant.com/
    2. Macayo's: http://www.yelp.com/biz/macayos-mexican-kitchen-phoenix

I like Tradiciones, it's part of the Ranch Market. Macayo's is famous because that is where President Obama ate when he came to town.

My fiance and I had lunch at Macayo's last month and weren't impressed. I've enjoyed them in the past, but the quality seems to have gone downhill.

We ordered steak fajitas and they were really chewy. :(

When we lived in AZ, we went to Macayos with friends sometimes.  It's ok.  Not that this will happen, but I went to a RD at Macayos and several (at least 3 I believe) people who ate the same thing got sick.  I know it can happen anywhere, but I just thought I'd share.  It also seems slightly on the more expensive side.

If you like Mexican food- check out Carlos O'Briens.  There's one in Southern Phoenix by Awatukee and one on Northern Ave. and 16th Street(ish).  They have AWESOME food and it's a big place- so they could definitely accomodate a group of people.  Their prices are reasonable too.
