Where did you go for your Groom/Groomsmen wear?

I'm really lost in this area... My fiance lives in San Diego while I'm here in Phoenix. Our next on the to-do is deciding on what he's wearing and also for the Groomsmen so they can start planning too. Everyone is in different states, except for my two brothers that live here.

My questions is... Where did you go for your FI's wedding wear? We're looking for something affordable. Another quesiton is... What's the better value, rent or purchase? Last, how did you deal with your Groomsmen attire to ensure everyone was cohesive with style and color?

Thank you!

We went to Nick's Menswear in Arrowhead towne center.

We went and looked around Men's Warehouse first, and priced a few things for renting or maybe buying from them, and then went to Nick's and ended up buying his suit that day.

Honestly it was just a bit cheaper to buy there than to rent from MW, but way cheaper to buy there than to buy from MW.  Figured if we were going to spend the same amount, he might as well get something to keep out of it.  It was very affordable from Nick's, I was honestly surprised.

Hector was who we worked with, and we talked to him about maybe having to get a suit for my dad (who is out of state) and he said he could do it easily with just a few basic measurements and he would know the right size.  I believe him, since he literally took a quick look at my FI and pulled the exact right size jacket and shirt out for him to try on.

As far as colors, he only has his best man to worry about,  but what we did was buy his suit in just basic black, and then we bought two vest and tie sets there that matched each other.   So now his best man just has to get a suit if he doesn't have one, and we can get them dress shirts in coordinating colors anywhere.  They had a really good selection of vest and tie colors and patterns there. I'm completely thrilled with the ones we found!

    Hope that helps!

We went to Men's Warehouse because everyone is in a different state similar to you.  It was definitely not my first choice as we are not huge fans of MW, but it was the simplest, most economical choice for us.  I would much rather have gone somewhere highly recommended like Nick's as Syndelin said, but this was easier.  We also bought FI a suit, but ended up going with MW rentals because no one we could find really rents suits and we wanted everyone to look similar.  So we ended up doing tuxes.  Oh well....

We are letting our guys provide their own suits.  They won't all match perfectly, but I don't think that's a big deal.  Could you do that?  Otherwise, I would say Men's Warehouse is your best bet since they are spread out across the country.

We plan to go to Parker and Schmidt Clothiers - they were recommended by our venue (Ashley Manor) and we plan to purchase suits for my fiance, his best man and my brother in law, who's conducting the ceremony.  My understanding is that purchasing a suit from them is cheaper than even renting from MW.  I can definitely post once I find out for sure.
