**New Knottie**Intro & question about catholic marriage prep

Hello!  I'm new to the boards, but am guilty of lurking for a bit. First, let me start by thanking all of you for taking the time to post on these boards!  Many of these posts have contained invaluable recommendations that have led me to book the most amazing vendors for my upcoming wedding!  Hopefully I can repay the favor as I get further into planning!

My name is Kristin and my fiancée is Chris.  We got engaged 5 months ago in NYC and are planning a Sept 25th wedding at the AZ Biltmore Resort.  We're also planning a catholic mass ceremony, which brings me to my question:

Are there any catholic brides in the Phoenix area who've done the marriage prep courses in the Phoenix diocese? Or online?  And if so, do you have any recommendations on parishes or particular course locations?

Thanks agian ladies!

We are getting married in Ohio in July...I am Catholic but he isn't....we are doing our marriage prep at the Newman Center at ASU....we met with the coordinator and she seems nice....We have to do about 12 hours of classes.....Not sure if its different elsewhere but i am under the impression its pretty standard for the diocese.....the Newman center is being very accomodating to non-members.....However, you may want to decided on a church to get married at and take the classes there....I think the priests prefer that

    HEY! welcome!
I feel like such a dork saying that since I havent been on here long and I am always nervous about posting! My hubby and I are getting married in our Catholic Church after being married almost five years. We still have to go through the same classes and meet the same requirements that new couples do, even the "natural family planning"  and we have two kids :) Anyway, we are taking our classes at St Clare of Assisi. It is beautiful. We have to meet for 7 fridays, and 3 sunday rites at mass. Isnt hard at all and you learn quite a bit. Congrats on your engagement and I hope you have a blast planning your wedding. Just a little FYI... we were going to go to St Mary's to get our classes done and they charge double what a regular parish will. Keep us all posted on how everything is going :)
