Engagement photo locations?!?

Hey everyone FH and I are not very familiar with the Phoenix area we are from Arkansas and will be getting married there but we want to take our engagement photos here. I have looked around online but wanted to know if any of you know any good locations. I have seen some photos with a big "love" statue but I don't know where that is...Any suggestion?

    The big love statue is in old town Scottsdale near the library and modern art museum.  I am sure someone on here can tell you the actual name of the place, but I am sure your photographer is fimiliar with this area.  If you want to take picture here, there are a ton of other cool places in old town for pics that you can walk to from this statue.

    I think it's just called "Old Town Scottsdale" but maybe I'm remembering wrong. That's where we did ours. There were lots of other great places for shots around there too!

    We did ours at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park and it was a lot of fun. They have a train, carousel, gazebo and regular park stuff too that make for some really fun shots. If you like the city and modern look the Biltmore has some great spots and the tunnel to Biltmore square is really fun for pictures (there are a few parks nearby too if you can do two locations).

    Also, check out Tempe Town Lake and the Tempe Arts Center, they are close enough that you could probably do both and get a great variety of pictures.

    I am in the same dilemma tht you are in.  I have not chosen a location, but what I have started to do is look through engagement shoots on PHX photographers websites to see what I like.  Browse sites of other local photographers, it should give you lots of great ideas.  The trouble is just narrowing it down!

    The Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts is where the LOVE piece is you are talking about (Also, it is by Robert Indiana, one of my favorites.  I'm a bit of a Nazi about knowing the artist.)  It is on the overpass, and there are a few other, simple statues there.
