Small Wedding Venues

Hi everyone, I am writing from the Minneapolis Knottie's but I was hoping for some good advice. My best friend is recently engaged and living in Phoenix. Her and her FI are looking for some great locations for a small ceremony (20-50).  Any ideas would be great! TIA

What side of town is she looking?  I have some suggestions, but they are all in the East Valley, which would not do her any good if she is looking on the West side.

I'm not sure but I think she may be open to any ideas right now.

I was going to recommend the Desert Botanical Garden.  Believe it or not the Zoo has some nice venues.  I looked at a place called Starfire at the Scottsdale Country Club and I LOVED it but it was to small for my group, it would be perfect for like 80 and under.  I hear the the Wright Hose is cute.  Does she want a hotel or non-hotel venue?

I agree! I'd say Desert Botanical is definitely worth checking out. I believe they have 3 or 4 different areas to choose from depending on how many people are attending.

I live in Chandler, and there's a little restaurant downtown that has a really nice back patio. It's called El Zocalo and it has big trees and lights and waterfalls ... every time I go there I always think it would be the cutest place to have a small wedding. I'm pretty sure it could accommodate up to 50 people!

Try McCormick Ranch Golf Course.  We had 70 people (I know-sounds like a lot more then her 20), but their inside room was perfect and had a large patio that went the full length of the room so you could see the golf course.  I would highly recommend it.

Are you looking for ceremony only?  Or ceremony and reception?

Many of the places that the ladies have already mentioned would be perfect for ceremony and reception.  We are getting married at Starfire at Scottsdale CC.  They seat about 85.  I also looked at Inside the Bungalow, Chapel on the Farm, Desert Botanical Gardens and many other budget friendly options.

If you just need the ceremony site, there are many options including public parks.

Your best bet for helpful advise is to find out what side of town she wants to get married in.  And then find out if she needs ceremony only or ceremony and reception.
