Has anyone ever been to a wedding at Heritage Square?  Any insights/advice?

Never been to a wedding there, but I've walked by while walking my dog. Laughing

What kind of insight are you looking for?

I've walked by too!  They seem to be really nice, but it is public property...  So you may have some extra guests come to see your nuptials.  If you do get married there, you should have your rehearsal dinner at Pizzeria Bianco! It's supposed to be amazing, and if you have a big party, you can make reservations. And, it's about 100 yards away from the ceremony location.

Thanks Nilla- and Guami I was looking for insights into how it might be for a ceremony/reception area.

I don't know personally but I had someone tell me that they got married there and were upset about the bathroom situation. She said homeless people share that bathroom with the guests since it is in a public area.

I can see the bathroom being an issue. But, I'd still ask what can be done about it if you'd still like to have the event there. It's a lovely space and has a ton of photo ops there!

I worked at one of the businesses in Heritage Square for many years and saw A LOT of weddings there in the Lath House Pavilion. :-) Granted, it's been about 5 years since I worked there full time, but I recall it only being about $500-$1000 to rent the venue. Also, your don't have to rent tables and chairs because they have  them there. There's a prep kitchen with ice machine for your caterer, too. It's a very pretty backdrop and makes for great pictures.

The downsides I can think of are a.) I think there's a 10pm noise ordinance, b.) the bathrooms are not attractive and unless the park's security guards stick by the pavilion, homeless people do use them, c.) I read somewhere they are booking weddings right now because of city staff cut backs (not sure on this though).

I say can't hurt to call and get details. Good luck!
