Day trip ideas?

Hi ladies,

DH and I have our first anniversary coming up in January. I'm wondering if any of you have suggestions for local places that would be fun to spend a day or a weekend at. We're pretty low-key, but want to get away from the cold of the mountains if possible.

Hmmm...if you are wanting to avoid snow that cuts off a few options (like Sedona). Tucson is pretty interesting.

Jerome is a little chillier than Phoenix, but they have some GREAT wineries!  It's a great anniversary trip!

I recommend Bisbee.

Maybe book a couple nights at one of the resorts. If you have the funds, The Royal Palms is incredible. Also, I stayed at the new resort at Casino Arizona a few months ago. The rooms are gorgeous and my FI and I had a great time gambling together

High desert market - has the very best fresh baked foods
Mimosa market  - fresh baked breads and great deli
Screamin Banchi pizza-tasty
Tons of fun antique shops
