Where did you get your bridesmaids dresses?

My sister is coming home in a week and I really want to go look at bridesmaid dresses with her. We went to Azteca and Twirl last time she was here and didn't find anything. I would prefer not to go to David's. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

What type of dress are you looking for?  We got ours at White House Black Market.  We also looked at Brides by Demetrios, they had a great selection.

I tried my hardest to find a dress that didn't have that bridesmaid look.  I found that Nordstrom had the best selection.  The only problem was, I couldn't find the color I wanted.  I found a dress that looked great online, but it was an awful color in person.  I was so sad :(

We ended up going with Davids out of convenience.  Sorry I'm not much help.

We went with David's out of convenience also.  To tell you the truth, they were pretty easy to work with.  But, we went to the one in MI.  So, not sure how they would be here...

    Good luck in the hunt!

Is Brides by Demetrios an actual store or just online? I've thought about going the department store route, but I'm worried because ALL of my girls are out of state. I suppose it's doable, though. I'm looking for something pewter/charcoal that isn't too "typical bridesmaid." Hopefully, I will find it! Thanks, girls.

I went with Alfred Angelo.  There isn't an actual store here in Phx but in Tucson.  However, there are several bridal salons that carry the designer.  It was even convenience for my out of town maids that could look up for the closest vendor to them.  I love the designer because there are so many styles and colors to choose from.  I am having my girls pick thier own style while staying with the same color that I have chose.  This so far has been the easiest part in the wedding process thus far!

PS.. I also tried my hardest to get a differnt look as well than the typical bridesmaid dress...the only thing I could come up with was a shorter length dress and it has been successful!

I was thinking about taking my girls to azteca this summer when they are all here in town. You didn't have any luck there? I was hoping they would be ideal because they cary just about every designer under the sun?

I have heard great things about suzannes bridal so I might try them as well.

Yes, Brides by Demetrios is an actual store in Old Town Scottsdale.  It is a beautiful store, we had a really great experience there and the girls' second favorite dress was there.

Azteca does have a big selection, but they were limited in my color (pewter - I know it's tricky). I will definitely check out Brides by Demetrios. I like Alfred Angelo and was looking for locations that carry that line. Thanks for all the great feedback! You guys rock. :)

We got ours at Dillard's and they are beautiful! I let my girls pick them out and I have to say that was the best choice ever! They not only picked a dress that I love, but all 3 of them love it too. And they look so great on that they are all going to be able to wear them again after the wedding. They are not your typical "bridesmaid" dresses. They are from the designer Adriana Pappel

Twirl Boutique is for Bridesmaids Dresses specifically, I would recommend trying them. They have a location in Scottsdale and Chandler.

check into the wedding accessory superstore at 101 and cave creek. they have bridesmaid dresses from a bunch of different designers with quite a few colors and styles.the only downside is the store personnel aren't meant to tell you what size dress you need, so you'll have to kinda know that before the BM go there.
