Need Help choosing a photographer

I have it narrowed down to a few different ones but cant decided. if any of you have used any of them or have advice please let me know:
Azy Photography
The Nelson Photography
Mike Maez Photography
Eric Greer Photography

Looking through the portfolios, I think the Mike Maez's photos look the best.  His work looked the most professional.  I haven't heard of any of these photogs, but Mike Meaz and Nelson Photography both had one review on wedding wire.  (Both were 5 stars)

I haven't heard of any of these photographers either - where did these recommendations come from?

I research and reviewed:

Azy Photography starts at $999 and up.  They don't even tell you what they are gonna do.  Looking through their albums, a lot of the pictures are posed.  You hardly see the candidness.  Their pictures are the same from couple to couple.

The Nelson Photography - starts at $895, and let you know what they are gonna do. http://blog.nelsonsweddings.com/index/view-page/id/5 They have two photogs, and price starting for 3 hours.  Their pictures are very artistic, very candid, shows emotion, very different from couple to couple.  The pictures are very vivid.  They have monthly specials to take advantage of: http://blog.nelsonsweddings.com/

Mike Maez Photography -  he spends the whole day with you, starting at $1500 which blows most of the other places out of the water.   I see a lot of posed pictures as wel. http://www.mikemaez.com/index2.php?v=v1

Eric Greer Photography - From his pictures, they are fun, and capture the moment.  They start at $1000 but you have to email him for more details on what's included.

I agree with the previous poster - you do have to research and see reviews.  As these photographers for references, see what their previous clients have to say about their pictures etc!

Hi, congratulations on your wedding and planning!

I am a photographer based mainly in Prescott but I travel all over Arizona. My motto is "beautiful, affordable photographs," and I work really hard to make sure I provide memorable prints, all images on a CD, and a beautiful hardcover book with photos of the day inside. I do all of this for under $1,000.

I am able to save by working a second job and paying myself less for my photography, and by cutting costs in areas like using a free website and not purchasing the copyrights to my photos (this also means you can print and re-print to your heart's desire without having to purchase a copyright from me or anything like that).
