Hi Ladies!

Were going there Monday...it's our last effort to do a local wedding before giving our proposed destination a credit card. I've heard such great reviews from you ladies, and the pics look amazing. Most importantly, we may be able to afford it because we can pick our own caterer and bartender, much more reasonable than every hotel we've gone to. (5000 for booze? wth)

Any challenges you had? Raves? questions to ask?

    I went to a wedding there and it was super nice. Do you watch TLC's Four Weddings? One of those girls got married there, and one of the other brides complained about the same thing I noticed: it's a fairly public area, the pool is literally right there with people swimming and staring at your wedding.

    That's where I got married and I couldn't have asked for a better location. It's gorgeous outside for the ceremony, right in front of the waterfall with the lake in the background. The reception area is super easy to decorate because it's all in neutral tones.

    Yes, the pool is still open to residents but we didn't have any problem. It's just like getting married in Vegas or on a ship or something. You can't stop people from watching the wedding. And who cares?? You're going to look so beautiful, why wouldn't you want people watching? :)

    I completely recommend this place - we were so happy with it! Janet is a doll too, so that makes it much easier!

    I haven't been there but I saw it on one of the wedding shows (I don't remember which one - 4 weddings i think) and I thought it was beautiful!

    Yay!!! Oh thank you ladies for all your thoughts!

    We went today, and we picked a date they had available, and are going back Wed to sign the contract (fingers crossed!)

    I think we are still going to pretend we are having a destination wedding and have an island themed wedding, the only thing that I was disappointed in was that the contract says we can't release flying lanters, which I so had my heart set on. Boo. Anyone offer LOTS of extra insurance for that? Or am I the only one who hearts them (well before tangled, thank you very much ;)  )

    AND I've got our bartender booked. The best ever, and best VALUE ever, even for an open bar. Priorities.Tongue out

    And I WISH Id seen that 4 weddings, but I didnt. I hope they rerun it, I set the DVR now

    They didn't really show a lot of the venue on 4 weddings...  they really focused on the random half naked guy in the hot tub part of the pool that was like 10 feet from the cocktail hour set up.  LOL
