Tlaquepaque Brides?

As I slowly start my planning, I keep coming back to Tlaquepaue for both the wedding and the reception. I love the ambience of the whole place. Both FI and I come from hispanic backgrounds and it really plays into what we are considering for the overall "theme" of the wedding. But I am also on the fence about everything too.

I am thinking 100 people is our upper limit and our lower limit is roughly 65 for guests. With the guest list alone, our ceremony couldn't fit into the chapel alone. As beautiful as it is, the chapel is also too fancy so we are thinking about the outdoor areas for everything.

Are there any brides out there that have experience with Tlaquepaque for outdoor weddings? We are not absolutely set on this venue and I am very open to other venue suggestions. Any feedback about Tlaq would be greatly appreciated.

TIA!

I looked at this venue, but they were really slow in responding to any emails, and the price was really not negotiable. If price isn't an issue for you, this is a beautiful venue, but for an all-inlcusive package, you're looking at about $20K for 100 people.

Tlaquepaue is BEAUTIFUL.  We are getting married in the chapel. However, I am panicked about it as we have 75 on our guest list. So yep it will be sro outside for our ceremony, however we are telling everyone that on our website and if they decide to not come to the ceremony we are okay with it.  (this is a second wedding for us so not so much of an issue as it would have been for a first).  I had concern about the reception area.  Although beautiful if it was cold or rainy we would need to use the hall they have and I didn't care for it.  We are doing our reception at L'Auberge and making sure the wedding ceremony is quick.  We also rented the Sedona trolley for our guest to use as transportation for a fun way to get to the chapel for those who are going.  Did you try Los Abrigados behind it?  I called them but never heard back from them.  Adam at Tlaq has been wonderful to us.  Good Luck!

So I didn't realize there are two venues that go by Tlaquepaque. To be specific this post was specific to Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village in Sedona.

    Thanks for the input!

If you look at the "sedona bride" wedding blog you can see some actual photos of the receptions "outside" in the area they use for weddings and receptions. Also you could do a search on andrew holdman photography and goto the wedding photos and on the right their is a drop down that shows different venues he has shot at.  I believe he has some good Tlaquepaque shots of ourdoor weddings and receptions.  This is the arts and craft village in sedona.  I hope this helps you.
