Anyone having a friend/relative perform your ceremony?

We want to have my brother perform our ceremony in May, and I've read that he can get "ordained" online and have our ceremony be legit.

Is anyone else doing this? Do you know the time restrictions if there are any? i.e. How far in advance he needs to have this?

    We had a family friend do it and he was able to get his certification within 1 week and it was good for 1 year.

    I think he went through the ULC

    My brother performed my wedding.  He was ordained online and it is good as soon as he got the certificate online.  I believe it was a lifetime membership.  I will get more details from him and post later.

    I have two friends that have done the online ordained thing.  Everything is legit and it's really easy.
