Another newbie!

Hi fellow Knotties!

So, I've been lurking around these boards since soon after my fiance proposed in April at sunset on the beach in La Jolla. I was waiting until our date was secured before my first "official" post... and just this week that was done! Hooray! Laughing

We're getting married at Regale in north Scottsdale April 29, 2012 (yep, a Sunday). We met with Tony this past week and have read tons of great reviews. Compared to other sites we've looked at, we definitely feel like Regale fits our style (modern/romantic) and certainly our budget. Tony seems to really enjoy what he does for couples, so that's refreshing too.

I bought my dress last week at a sample sale at Marie'e. I loved that shop! The couple that owns it are great, very low stress, and they have lots of beautiful dresses. I would highly recommend them.

I have lots of ideas already about what our wedding will look/feel like, and I appreciate all of the posts I've read here on the board. I'm very much a "planner-type", so this is all a blast! Our colors are navy, apple green, and fuchsia.

Happy planning, Knotties! Wink

Welcome! And congrats on the engagement and setting the date. I'm really interested in Regale, I'm actually in communication with them right now to see if they can work with my measly budget :)
Thanks for the recommendation on the dress, too! I just moved here so I'm kind of lost as far as places to get things. Have fun with your planning! Welcome to the board :)

    Livv22,
Congrats to you as well. I hope that Regale can make it work for you. Have you been out to the venue yet? Good luck! (and thanks for the welcome!)

I haven't been out there yet, I live in flagstaff so I'm trying to make sure it's even affordable before I make the trip down to visit. It looks lovely though!

was it affortable? Did you use their vendors?

I think it's pretty affordable for where it's located and what's included. We did choose to have it on a Sunday night which saves money. I was least sure about the catering company, mostly because they only use one. We haven't tried any of their food yet, but when Regale explained their pricing per person, it seems comparable to the other ones out there. I do like their photographers and had that picked before the date even. We haven't met with the dj's yet though. I guess that Tony (who runs Regale with his wife) used to be a dj, so he's pretty particular about who he lets do the weddings at his venue (fine with me). My FI and I still need to sit down and finalize a contract (which is planned for later this month), but so far everything seems great!
