complete regret....

like most brides, after i got engaged, we picked a date. booked out church and hall. and then came time to shop for a wedding dress. throughout my entire planning process, this is the one thing i regret. if you can avoid going to eva's bridal in orland park, please do so. i've had nothing but problems and they are incredibly rude once they have your money. since ordering my dress, i have experienced on multiple occasions customers screaming and yelling. now i understand why. please please read the reviews on yelp. there are more bad reviews than good....and i can only assume they have written a few reviews on there themselves to up their rating a bit. they currently hold an F rating with the better business bureau....and for good reason. if posting this will spare a bride or two from going through this incredible stress, i will be happy.

  • Thanks for sharing! I just want to clarify for others that Eva's Orland Park, Eva's Oak Lawn and Eva's in Chicago are all owned by different people. I say this because I bought my dress at Eva's in Oak Lawn and looked for dresses for my BM's at Eva's in Chicago and had good experiences at both.
  • My friend got married last July and ordered her dress from Eva's in Orland. Her dress came in about 9 months after they said it would, and no one there would answer her questions, ever call her back and she basically got the 'run around.' It was fine because she had the time, but at least be honest with her!

  • they are late on my dress...surprise surprise. and if you ask me....they need to take a course on customer service skills. the way i see it, if you tell me a date my dress will be in and you receive your shipment for that day and my dress isn't in it, you should be calling to find out where it is and then calling me with an apology. instead, i have to call them...and then they have to call me back...and then they don't...and then i call them again...and then i get attitude...and then i give attitude! they keep telling me i still have plenty of time....which i know i do....but that's not the point. it's the fact that they told me a 3 different dates to expect my dress and i still don't have it.

    if i could tell you the issues my family member had with alterations there, you would just die. i can't wait to get my dress out of that store. fingers crossed it gets delivered tomorrow....the now 4th date they have given me!

    I absolutely agree with these ladies and feel bad for anyone that has ordered a dress through the Eva's Bridal in Orland Park!  I worked there for a few weeks years ago at the front desk and I couldn't stand it I had to quit.  I could not take the way the did business, dealt with their customers and especially the way they expected me to deal with their poor customers, they do not care about them at all.  Noone ever wanted to take a phone call from a poor frantic bride who wants to know what happened to her dress, or talk to the poor crying girl who was basically forced to order a bridesmaids dress that was way too big for her and now she not only feels humiliated but also needed rediculous alterations to make the dress actually fit her!  I swear it was the worst job I've ever had, please ladies DO NOT go there for your dress!
  • well...good news. i finally got my dress. they called me on friday at 5:10 telling me i could come in and pick it up. i asked what time they closed and she responded with 5....and that they were just about to leave. so obviously i wasn't picking up my dress that night! thanks for waiting until the last minute to call me! i went yesterday to get it because i was out of town and when i went to take it home, the girl took 2 garbage bags to wrap my dress! i couldn't believe it. thankfully the owner came out and i asked her if they had a garment bag. i couldn't be more happy i no longer have to deal with that place again. i really hope some newly engaged girls read this post.....

    it's nice to know that people agree. i knew i wasn't the only one having these issues. thanks for your responses. every little bit helps in this situation!
