Some How I have too!!

I will be getting Married Oct. 2012-it's really not that far away as we are trying to plan strategically.  We would like to be married and hold our Recepition at the same venue.  We  want to keep it small and sweet, My Dilema is-I have 4 Sisters and I have 7 DEAR Girlfriends- 11 Total in All. I would like them ALL to be a part of this Special Occasion.......  I don't think my Fiance wants a Wedding Party this Huge.  How do I include My Girlfriends in Our
Wedding. Thanks!!!!

I would recommend having just your sisters be in your wedding party and like PP suggested- have your friends take part in other things like readings, programs, etc.

I just had 2 attendents on each side, my 2 sisters. I had my girlfriends and sister in law do readings and prayers. I loved our small wedding party, it was easy to handle, there was NO drama and it was classy looking. Not to mention we saved a lot on gifts and the rehersal dinner. My brother and his son were ushers. I only had family in the wedding but my dear friends were involved in the planning and readings....
Do any of your girlfreinds play an instrument or sing? My friend played the song in the wedding ceremony and sang and it was so special.

You could also dedicate a special song at the reception and have the band or DJ name all the special girls it's dedicated to.

I agree with PP to just ask your sisters. You could also invite your friends to the rehersal dinner and tell them how much you appreciate them being there for you on your big day. I also really like the idea to ask a friend to sing/play an instrument if they have that talent. They will still appreciate being involved without "officially" being involved.

You include them by having them as guests.  I wouldn't worry too much about creating special roles for them or giving them tasks such as handing out programs or cutting cake the day of.

As a Bride to Be, I am so Thankful for the Knot's website. So glad I can share my Dilema's with others and I appreciated all responses.  Here's another one.
Through the years, my Family has finally convenienced me that My favorite Colors are Lilac and Purple.  Since my Wedding will be in the Fall. I've decided against
my Favorite Colors and want to go with Burgundy, it's a rich, bold color and
goes well with the fall.  My dilema is.........what color(s) are going to go well
with Burgundy..........I'm an event planner and ALWAYS putting together different
combos of colors, but I'm completely at a LOSS with the Burgundy!!!!!! Yikes!!!!!
