Thermography vs. flat print- invites?

Thanks for reading!I love thermography invites (can't afford letterpress), but it's pricier than flat printing. I'm doing a horizontal pocketfold, with the invite on the left and inserts stacked on the right. Is it tacky to do thermography for just the invitation, while the inserts/rsvp card are flat printed, to keep costs down? Or should everything be all thermography or all flat?Thanks so much!

I di a pocketfold and had the invites and inserts all thermographed.  I just liked how it all looked the same - I have pictures in my vendor review bio.  HTH!!

I had all of my pieces thermography printed at Eagle Printing in Chicago (much cheaper than everywhere else I called) and it was surprisingly affordable. Maybe try calling Eagle and you might be able to print everything the same way since the cost is so reasonable.

I had pocketfold invites; the main invite was thermographed and inserts were flat printed. I didn't think it tacky or weird -- plus the inserts were in the pocket, so the different printing was not obvious. IMHO, I think if you like how the thermography looks, use it for the invite only -- if it's in your budget to use it for the inserts too, then do it all. GL!
