Holy crap it's Wednesday already...

Had engagement pictures yesterday - totally awkward at first - then it was sort of fun. I'm not big on having my picture taken by strangers - but it was nice to break the ice prior to the wedding. I'm curious to see how they turn out..cuz I love my photographer's work - but I just feel like ours are going to be a hot mess..

And I have to work today. Only 7 hours - but I just don't feel like it kind of thing.

I'm just so tired and unmotivated lately. I think it's the weather. My biggest wtf is with one of the groomsmen just not responding to FI's emails, texts, calls. He said he has been busy but then when FI tried to talk to him he just stops responding.

Yesterday started my 6 day stretch...two of those days I will be working around 11hrs...ugh...I have to prove myself between Thursday & Sunday that I can run the store to my two higher up bosses!!...so positive vibes this way that we'll have an awesome weekend!!!

So last week I complained about my migraine that would not go away. Well it still won't. I think I've had maybe one migriane free day in the last 2 and a half weeks. I almost had to take today off work because it got so bad I couldn't function. Luckily my pill worked this time but I'm exhausted since I was up all night in pain. I have a doctors apointment next week but I'm not sure what they can do. I am so worried that I will have a really bad one the day of the wedding.

My WTF is that my aunt told my parents last night that she actually can't pay for the shower she threw me 6 weeks ago.  I haven't gotten the whole story out of my parents but I guess there have been some conversations in between the shower and now.  There's been drama with my Mom's other sister (my godmother) regarding everything WR and I really appreciated that this aunt threw me the shower.  We've always been pretty close and it worked out well since that side of the family is mostly in NY so they didn't travel for the other shower (my Mom and FMIL threw one last weekend in CT). I didn't expect my aunt to throw me the shower but I don't get how you ask for someone else to pay for it after the fact? I'm just so confused how you could do that! And I sent her flowers thanking her and everything. I'm angry on behalf of my parents, but also upset that I gave her a TY present, and she didn't give me anything for the shower now. Not to be petty, but that's even worse than the other bitchy sister since I'm out money. My Mom would've just invited the NY family to the CT shower if my Aunt hadn't offered to host, and it would've saved my Mom hassle.

I totally get that these wedding events are expensive, but I just thought that's why family members helped each other out!  Instead, my parents are ending up paying for way more than they expected and I'm sure when my cousins get married they'll still help them out. I'm so bitter!  Sorry for the length...

I get them too not as bad as you but still bad.  I take relpax for mine it is a prescription medication.  I love it!  My headache goes away in 20 minutes.  For not so bad ones I take 3 ibuprofen and drink a cup of coffee the caffeine helps to get rid of headaches.  My mom also bought me a cold gel pack that I keep in the refrigerator so I use that too.  My migraines usually settle behind 1 of my eyes so I put the gel back on my left or right temple and lay down in a dark room.  That helps too!!  I have heard of people taking ibuprofen for a couple of days before a big event to help it not come if you are worried about that too.

My FI is so stressed lately and it's really bringing my mood down. Also, the girl that I'm working on a project with right now keeps calling out sick, and it's really slowing down our project and putting a lot of extra work on my shoulders. I wouldn't be so annoyed if it weren't for the fact that the same thing happened to me on my last project (with a different person). I added it up, and over the course of three months, he called out 15 days (more than 20% of the time). I really hope this project isn't going to be a repeat of that. I kind of miss working in the U.S. where we had to use PTO allowances for illness. Here you don't, and I swear ppl are mysteriously sicker here.

Dramaqueen, mirgaines suck- I've only had them twice in my life and I thought I was going to die both times. I hope you figure out something pretty soon!

I don't know if I really have any WTFs today except that I'm becoming sad that I need to leave my new house, doggie, and FI for weeks at time now until the wedding. Our wedding is 4 hours away and I'm leaving this Friday for father's day, volleyball tournament, and then a shower, make up trail, hair trail, dress fitting. I won't be back until the end of the month. Then I'm leaving again in the 2nd week of July for a softball tournament in Kansas, then bachelorette party, and then it'll be our wedding. I won't be back until August after our honeymoon. I don't know why I'm so sad about this- I looovvee the house and I don't really want to be away for so long. I just can't really drive back and forth too many times (500 miles roundtrip).

FI has to stay behind the entire time until the weekend of wedding. He has to work.

Tell me this will make our wedding weekend even more special, right?

My WTF is that our house closing is scheduled for this afternoon and we've had nothing but headaches dealing with the Wells Fargo loan rep these past 3 days.  We've had so much time to get everything done and she's literally waited until the last second to finalize everything and made us scramble getting last-minute documents, etc.  Thankfully, our lawyer is excellent and she's really worked hard to make sure everything has gone as smoothly as possible.  Hopefully no more hiccups because I would really like to get into our new house today. 

On a positive note, our sellers have been absolutely amazing through this whole process and are now giving us the washer and dryer, for free, that they don't need in the house they bought.  They even had them delivered to our house and also are having the house professionally cleaned for us.  They just saved us thousands of dollars and hours worth of cleaning.

Hopefully FI and I will be homeowners by the end of today.... YIKES

No WTF's here, really...other than my dad, who is in charge of the music for the wedding, has not yet signed the contract for the string quartet. The wedding is 5 weeks away! Just a little too close for comfort. My dad is notorious for waiting for the last minute to do anything.

I've been fighting bronchitis for 3 weeks... after a round of antibiotics and everything OTC medicine to help clear my lungs nothing has helped....  I had a doctor appt for 11:40 - i leave work at 11:15 - I get there at 11:30  and they said "oh the dr had an emergency - he can see you tomorrow".   UGHhhhhhhhhh why couldnt they call me??  

So on my way back to work I stop at Panera Bread to grab lunch to take back to work with me... I ordered a tuna salad sandwich - I get to work and open it  and it some chicken ceasar bitter monstrosity... so nasty.  

I keep having bad dreams about my dress... my next fitting isnt until July 2nd because she needed "LOTS" of time to change the back to a corset and remove the train like I wanted.... I can't help but worry she is going to ruin it and I'm going to show on July 2nd and it'll be unwearable.  So I've been looking at used websites just in case I need a back-up... but even if I got a back-up I would barely have time to have something shipped to me and then altered -it would be a miracle to find a dress that was already meant for a 5'1" bride!  I just need to stop thinking about it and imagine my PERFECT day the end of the July - it'll be fine I'm sure.  I'm also bummed about it because I spent $350 in alterations.. which I was not expecting at all..

One of my BM seems to be fading herself out of the wedding. She has not gotten her dress and she isn't responding to my calls / texts. Oh well, an uneven wedding party is not the end of the world.

I'm really disappointed and this will be the end of our friendship. Long story short this is not the first time she has been unreliable but I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. Just wish she would have been honest and told me she didn't want to be involved.

Nothing that's happening at work can get me down (it's bad, ladies. real bad.) because I am leaving for S A N  D I E G O in 4 hours! And then V E G A S! I cannot wait. I'll be back on Monday to share alllll about it. And maybe I'll have some shower photos by then.

My WTF is that it still feels like i have a bit of time to get the last small things done but really the way my July is mapping out i have no time what so ever. I have to get the favour bags prinded, make the ceremony program fans, the place seating chart and name place things for the actual seats, put together the family wedding photo window fame thing, cut the fabric to go over the hay bales... buh and like a million other things. Good thing is FI and I have nothing booked this weekend and we are getting s*ht done!... hopefully :(

I volunteered to help with some things at church, and while i love to volunteer - I think I've bit off more than I can chew.  I'm feeling like they need more time than I can devote.  Oh, what to do...

mekiakoo: I totally feel you with being away for so long.  With the wedding being in PA and me living in MI I'm going to be gone from here for about a month too and away from FI for almost 2 weeks.

k8: Good luck!  Went through that in December and it was never fun!  Hope you get the keys today!  Such a great feeling!

My WTF:  Met with my advisor today about how my internship went and was totally blindsided by a totally negative review from my site!  They never said anything of these things to me in person and never indicated I was doing anything wrong!  Made me look like an a** with my adviser and made me feel like poo and that I'm really not doing as well in my field as I thought I was.
