Sealing envelopes

Hello Ladies! For those of you sealing the envelopes yourself, I wanted to share with you what I did as not to have to lick the icky gummy stuff. Maybe something like this has been posted already, but it was a life saver for me. I used Q-tips! I would dip them in water (pat off excess), and run them across the gummy sealant. Worked like charm! Hope this is helpful to someone else. :) Val

Thats a great idea! I'm sure fi would have appreciated that! We tried the sponge...but it was too wet. He ended up licking a good majority of them (approx 85!) He gagged the whole time!! I owe him another thank you.

I think there's also a tiny little bottle with a spongy tip that you can use.  I'm assuming you can find them at a crafts store.  I know I've seen it before. I had to seal our envelopes for the save the dates and kept taking sips of Coke to get the taste outta my mouth.  It was gross!  FI was playing Call of Duty!  lol I'm trying the Q-Tip idea too. Maybe when it comes to the invites he can get in on the action! Thanks!!

A glue stick is your best bet! You don't have to deal with the wetness of a sponge and it's a perfect seal every time.

I would recommend something that we use at my work all the time. Dab n Seal, Leak Proof, ENVELOPE MOISTENER with Adhesive (seals over 1500 envelopes). It is super easy, glides on, and no mess. Aqua & Pink bottle, available at Staples I know for sure.
