a couple of knotties are using that company. its a bigger company that places you with a photographer that is available on your wedding day. you aren't necessarily working with timothy whaley, it is similar to bella pictures. good prices, but they do have a lot of restrictions on getting the files and meeting mandatory minimum order limits before they release the pictures. a recent posting said:From: lasharp Date: 7/13/2009 at 9:27 AM We used them for our October '08 wedding. I was really happy with the service and product that we received from them. Our main photog was James. I didn't love him or all of the pictures we got from him. I just don't think that he really understood what I was looking for. Our second photog was Maria and her work was AMAZING! DH and I still laugh when we look at our pictures because it seems like she was everywhere at once. They office staff was also really helpful and accomadating. I changed my mind on something a day or two after we ordered it and they were so cool about making the changes and making sure we got exactly what we wanted. Let me know if you have any other questions! HTH!andFrom: nickandchristinaswedding Date: 7/17/2009 at 8:59 PM I know I am late posting to this, but a friend of mine had a bad experience, causing me to be afraid to book with them. ... They did not allow them to buy their proofs until they purchased a certain monetary amount of pictures within a certain time period. Her mom bought over 900$ in pictures and they could not get their proofs. After a year she went back and was told the company had shredded the CD with her proofs on it...so she now has no access to these pictures. Christina and Nick but they also said wally was good. look over the contract because it seems fairly restrictive. they were at the bridal shows a while back and probably still are.

We are using Timothy Whaley for our 7/24/10 wedding, based one the recommendations of two co-workers. We had our engagement pics taken a few weeks ago and we love them! I had them change a couple of the contract terms. Usually they give you the digital negatives 6 months after you receive the album, but they agreed to give them to me WITH the album. I also wasn't comfortable with the payment terms, so they changed those, too. Originally they wanted us to be paid in full 3 months before the wedding (ridiculous, in my opinion). They changed it to paid in full one month before the wedding. Just make sure that you are clear with them, and let them know that you won't back down. Also, read the contract very carefully when they send it to you to be signed. They forgot one of the changes I requested, so I sent it back to them. I hope this helps :-)

Overall I think they do a great job. You get to meet with your selected photographer and if you don't like her then you can just cancel your contract and get your deposit back. I have a few friends and a relative that have used them and all of them got good deals and their pictures on disk without a problem.

Hi there~Our engagement pics with them went good. We had them done at the Naperville River Walk which was beautiful.  I am not crazy about how a lot of them turned out but it is because it was a windy day and my hair and shirt are blowing everywhere.  We did find enough that we really like to buy so we are satisfied. The customer services has been good so far and they are very quick to respond.  We are not getting married until June so I don't have too much experience with them yet.  However, like the pp, look through your contract and make sure everything is ok for you.  We had several things changed.  We forgot to mention in the contract that we wanted the digital copies of our engagement pics immediately (for our guest book, etc), so now we are going to have to pay additional for them.Good luck!

We are also using Timothy Whaley.  We have had great service thus far.  Definitely look over your contract, and if there isn't anything you don't like, let them know.  We had our engagement pictures and loved them, we had a great time and the photographer was a lot of fun.  The photographer we are using is Bill, and I fell in love with his work (he showed me both wedding and non-wedding pictures he has taken).  I am very excited for the wedding!
